How to use it

  1. Fill in the four blanks

Short and plain works best: "budget app", "new parents", "guessing where your money went", "see every dollar in one place".

  2. Read them out loud

Keep the ones a friend would say. Skip any that sound like an ad.

  3. Copy and tweak

Change a word or two so it sounds like you. Put it on screen in the first second.

Questions people ask

What is a good hook for a product video?

One that's about the viewer's problem or a surprising result, in short common words, with the product name left out. The video should show what the hook promises within a few seconds.

Where do these hooks come from?

Each shape comes from real posts that promoted a product, like "Don't buy another charger until you see this" (19.9 million views). We wrote fill-in lines in the same shapes.

Is this an AI writer?

No. It's a fixed, hand-written list. Your words go into the blanks, so the same words always give the same hooks.

Should the hook name my product?

Usually not. Show the product on screen or name it in the caption. The hook is about the person watching.
