Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Off Camera for using offcamera.co, the Off Camera app and the posts it makes. We wrote them in plain words, but they are still a contract, so please read them.

By creating an account, trying Off Camera as a guest or buying a plan, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Off Camera. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data.

1.Who can use Off Camera

  • You must be at least 18, and old enough to make a binding contract where you live.
  • Off Camera is a tool for making social posts for a business, brand, product or channel. If you use it for a company or for a client, you agree to these terms for them too, and you confirm you’re allowed to do that.
  • You can’t use Off Camera if the law forbids it for you, or if we closed your account before for breaking these terms.

2.Your account

  • Use a real email address that you check. We send sign-in, billing and safety messages there.
  • Keep your sign-in safe and don’t share your password. You’re responsible for everything that happens in your account. If you think someone else got in, email us straight away.
  • An account is for one person. The brands inside it can be yours or your clients’.
  • You can try Off Camera as a guest, without an account. A guest can write a few drafts but can’t export them. A guest’s drafts are deleted 14 days after they were started, unless you create an account first.

3.Plans, billing and renewal

The Free plan costs nothing, needs no card and lasts 7 days from the day you sign up (the details are in section 6). Paid plans (Starter, Growth and Pro) are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. The pricing page and checkout always show the current price and what each plan includes. All prices are in US dollars. Taxes, such as sales tax or VAT, may be added where they apply.

Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel

When you buy a paid plan, you’re charged straight away for the first month or year. After that, your plan renews automatically: you’re charged your plan’s price again at the start of every new month (monthly plans) or year (yearly plans), to the payment method you gave Stripe, until you cancel.

Prices today, before any taxes:

  • Starter: $29 a month or $278 a year. Founding price: the first 100 people who subscribe to Starter and pay monthly pay $19 a month, and keep that price for as long as that subscription continues. The pricing page shows how many of the 100 places are left; once they’re taken, Starter is $29 a month. If you subscribed to Starter at its launch price ($19 a month or $182 a year) before October 15, 2026, you keep that price the same way.
  • Growth: $59 a month or $566 a year.
  • Pro: $149 a month or $1,430 a year.

Cancel any time online: in Settings, go to Billing and press Manage billing. There’s no minimum term. Your plan stays active until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. The full steps are in section 4.

Reminders: after you buy, we email you a confirmation with these renewal terms and how to cancel. On a yearly plan, we email you 15 to 45 days before each renewal. And at least once a year, we remind every subscriber what their plan costs, how often it renews and how to cancel.

AI credit packs are one-time purchases. They never renew.

  • Changing plans. You can move from Free to a paid plan in Settings, or on the plans page once your Free plan has ended. To move between paid plans, email us and we switch you over without charging you twice for the same time.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may try again. If it still can’t be paid, your paid plan ends. Your posts stay saved. If your Free plan is over too, you need a paid plan again to keep making posts.
  • Price changes. We may change our prices. If a change affects your plan, we email you 7 to 30 days before the new price applies, with how to cancel, so you can decide in time. If you got Starter’s founding or launch price, it stays while that Starter subscription continues. It ends if the subscription ends, for example if you cancel or move to another plan.
  • Discounts. A promo code or offer works only as described in that offer, and only for the time it says.

4.How to cancel

You can cancel a paid plan online at any time, without giving a reason:

  1. In Off Camera, open Settings and go to Billing.
  2. Press Manage billing. This opens Stripe’s secure billing page for your account.
  3. Choose to cancel your plan, and confirm.

Your plan stays active until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. Then your paid plan ends. Your posts stay saved and stay yours. Credits you bought stay on your account until they expire, and work again if you pick a plan before then. If your Free plan is over, you need a paid plan to keep making posts. Manage billing is also where you update your card and download invoices, and it stays open from the plans page after your plan ends.

Cancelling by email

If you can’t use Manage billing, email team@offcamera.co from the email address on your account and say you want to cancel. This ready-made cancel email has everything we need, so you can just press send. Your cancellation counts from the moment your email reaches us, even if we reply later, and we reply to confirm it.

  • If you’re charged after you cancelled, we refund that charge in full.
  • Deleting your account cancels your paid plan at once, and nothing renews after that. If you’re ever charged after you deleted your account, we refund that charge.

5.Refunds

You pay for each month or year ahead of time. Payments aren’t refundable, including for a month or year you only used part of, except in these cases:

  • Our mistakes. If we charged you by mistake, such as twice, or after you cancelled, we refund the charge in full.
  • A yearly renewal you forgot. Email us within 14 days of a yearly renewal charge. If you haven’t exported a post or used AI credits since that charge, we refund it in full and cancel the plan.
  • Unused credit packs. If you haven’t used any credits from a pack, email us within 14 days of buying it for a full refund. Once you’ve used credits from a pack, it can’t be refunded.
  • EU and UK consumers. If you live in the EU or the UK and buy as a consumer (not for a business), you may cancel within 14 days of buying and get your money back. Where the law allows, we keep a fair share for what you already used.
  • Where the law says so. Nothing here takes away a refund right the law gives you.

If something breaks on our side and you lose an export or credits, tell us and we will put it right. AI work that fails gives its credits back by itself. Changing your mind, not liking an AI result, low views, or a platform limiting or banning an account are not reasons for a refund.

If a charge looks wrong, please email us before asking your bank to reverse it. We can usually fix it faster.

6.AI credits, limits and the Free plan

Posts

Each plan includes a number of posts a month. A post counts the first time you export it. Drafts, previews, edits and exporting the same post again don’t count. Drafts are free within fair use: if you make a very large number of them in a month, more come at the start of the next month.

AI credits

  • AI credits pay for AI work, such as AI creator videos, AI Studio clips, AI images and talking hooks. The app shows the credit cost before you make anything. If AI work fails, its credits come back by themselves.
  • Growth and Pro include AI credits every month. Free and Starter don’t. Any paid plan (Starter, Growth or Pro) can add credit packs.
  • You can use AI credits only while you have an active paid plan, or a plan we gave you. If your plan ends, AI credits wait until you pick a plan again.
  • Posts and plan credits reset every month, which means every 30 days counted from the day your plan started (on yearly plans too). Anything unused does not roll over.

Credit packs

  • Credit packs are one-time purchases: 150 credits for $9, 500 for $27 or 1,500 for $69, in US dollars. Taxes may be added where they apply.
  • You can buy a pack only while you have an active paid plan, or a plan we gave you, so you never pay for credits you can’t use.
  • Credits you buy last 1 month from the day you buy them. Packs you bought before this rule keep the 12 months they were sold with. We use your plan’s monthly credits first, then the credits you bought, the ones that expire soonest first.
  • If your plan ends, bought credits stay on your account until they expire, and work again if you pick a plan before then. Their expiry date doesn’t change.
  • Refunds for packs are in section 5.

Rules for all AI credits

  • AI credits have no cash value. They can’t be sold, transferred or swapped for money, and they only work inside Off Camera. They end when they expire or when your account is deleted or closed.
  • We may change how many credits things cost. The app always shows the cost before you spend them.

The Free plan

The Free plan is for trying Off Camera on your own brand. Today it includes 5 exported posts, one brand, no AI credits and the other limits on the pricing page. We may change the Free plan’s limits at any time.

  • It lasts 7 days. The Free plan starts when you create your account and lasts 7 days. It needs no card. It ends by itself: there’s nothing to cancel, and we never charge you when it ends. If you created your account before October 16, 2026, your Free plan lasts 30 days from that day, and at least until October 24, 2026.
  • After it ends, you need a paid plan to keep making posts. Until you pick one, Off Camera doesn’t make, export or post anything new for your account, and posts you planned for linked accounts wait. Nothing is deleted: your account, brands and posts stay saved, and they’re all there the moment you pick a plan.
  • You can still sign in, see the plans, pick one, and delete your account (Settings, under Account). See section 16.
  • A plan we gave you counts like a paid plan while it lasts.

Fair use

Every plan also has limits that keep Off Camera fast and fair for everyone, such as how many exports, uploads or AI requests you can make in an hour. If you reach one, wait a little and try again.

7.Who owns what

What’s yours

  • You keep all your rights in what you bring to Off Camera: your website, brand name, logos, uploads, recordings, scripts and ideas (your “inputs”).
  • Between you and us, the posts Off Camera makes for you (your “outputs”) are yours. Post them where you like, as often as you like.
  • In some countries, including the US, the law may not give anyone copyright in material made mostly by AI. We give you whatever rights we have in your outputs, but we can’t promise that anyone can own them.
  • AI can make similar posts for different people. Owning your outputs doesn’t make other people’s similar posts yours.

What you let us do

To run Off Camera, we need your permission to work with your inputs and outputs. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, process, edit the format of and show them to you, to send them to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, and to post them to the accounts you link when you schedule them. We use this license only to run, protect and support Off Camera for you. It ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from short-lived backup copies and anything already posted to your social accounts.

We never use your posts or uploads in our own marketing without asking you first.

What’s ours

The Off Camera name and logo, the app, its code, designs, templates, prompts, AI creators and media libraries belong to us or to the people we license them from. Using Off Camera doesn’t give you ownership of any of them.

What belongs to others

  • Stock photos and clips come from free libraries such as Pexels, under their licenses. The music in our library is public domain (CC0). You can use them inside your posts, but you can’t pull them out to use or sell on their own.
  • AI creators are made-up people. You can use them in posts you make with Off Camera, but not outside it, and never present one as a real person or a real customer.
  • Meme clips in our library are moments that spread online. They belong to other people, and we can’t give you rights to them. See section 9.
  • We pick library photos, clips and music from sources that allow use in posts, but we can’t promise that every item is cleared for every use, and we may remove items at any time.
  • Trending shows other creators’ public posts to give you ideas. They belong to those creators. Seeing them in Off Camera gives you no right to reuse them, and their owners can ask us to take them down.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without paying you or owing you anything.

8.AI can be wrong

Off Camera uses AI to read your website, write posts and make pictures, voices and video. AI makes mistakes. It can:

  • get facts about your product wrong, or say something untrue with confidence;
  • make something that looks or sounds like an existing post, brand, song, artwork or real person;
  • make something offensive or not right for your audience.

Off Camera tries to write only from your website’s own facts, but you must check every post before you export, schedule or post it. Check claims, numbers and prices most of all. You decide what goes out, and you’re responsible for it.

Our AI creators are not meant to look like any real person. If you think a post uses your face, voice or name, email us and we will look into it.

9.Your responsibilities

You’re responsible for what you put into Off Camera and for what you post. In particular:

Have the rights

You need the rights to everything you bring: website content, logos, brand names, photos, screen recordings, music, and any real person’s face, voice or name. If a real person appears in something you upload, you have their permission.

Follow each platform’s rules

Follow the rules of every platform you post on, including TikTok’s, Instagram’s and YouTube’s rules on AI-made content, branded content and spam. Label AI content wherever a platform or the law asks for it. When we post AI creator videos, AI Studio clips or talking hooks for you, we switch on the platform’s AI label where the posting service lets us (TikTok and YouTube today), but labeling is still your job.

Be honest in ads

Posts that promote a product are ads, so advertising law applies, including the US Federal Trade Commission’s rules on endorsements, reviews and testimonials. That means:

  • no fake reviews or testimonials, and nothing that suggests an AI creator, or anyone else, is a real customer when they aren’t;
  • no made-up results, ratings, earnings or before-and-after claims;
  • disclosing a paid or business connection where the rules ask for it, for example with #ad;
  • being able to back up what your posts say, above all about health, money, safety or results.

Some places have their own rules for AI people and AI content in ads. Following them is your job.

Meme clips and other people’s work

Some formats let you use meme clips, trending formats or sounds that belong to other people. Off Camera doesn’t own them and can’t license them to you. Using them is your call and your risk: the owner or the platform may object, mute your post or take it down. If you’re not sure you can use something, don’t post it.

Remix reads a post you link to so it can work out its format, then makes a new post about your product from our own footage, music and fonts. It never puts the original video in your post. Don’t use Remix to copy another creator’s actual words, characters or brand.

Prank reels

A prank reel must show real messages with a real person who agreed to be in it. Before you post, get their permission and hide their name, number and anything private (the editor can blur parts of the chat). If you type the chat in yourself, type only what they really sent. Never fake or change their replies, and never use a prank to scare, harass or embarrass someone.

Follow the law

Follow every law that applies to you and your posts, including privacy, consumer protection, advertising and intellectual property law.

10.What you may not do

Don’t use Off Camera to make, upload or post anything that:

  • is illegal, or helps someone break the law;
  • is hateful, harassing, threatening, violent or sexual, or sexualizes anyone under 18 in any way;
  • pretends to be a real person, brand or organization without their permission, or is a deepfake of a real person;
  • uses a real person’s face, voice or name without their permission;
  • misleads people, such as fake reviews, false claims or scams;
  • infringes someone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
  • is spam, such as floods of near-identical posts, or fake or bulk accounts that break a platform’s rules;
  • contains malware or harmful code.

And don’t:

  • get around plan limits or credit costs, including by making extra accounts or guest sessions;
  • scrape, copy or bulk download Off Camera, or reach it with bots or scripts outside the features we offer;
  • reverse engineer Off Camera or try to pull out its code, prompts or models, except where the law allows it;
  • test, scan or attack our security, or get in the way of Off Camera or of other people using it (if you find a security problem, please email us);
  • resell or share access to Off Camera, or use it to build a product that competes with it;
  • break the terms of the services Off Camera connects to, such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Google, Stripe or Post for Me.

We may remove content, pause features or close accounts that break these rules (see section 16). We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.

11.Linked accounts and auto-posting

  • You can link TikTok, Instagram and YouTube accounts through Post for Me, a posting service we use. You sign in on the platform’s own page and give permission there. We never see your password.
  • Linking an account tells us to post the posts you schedule, to the accounts you pick, at the times you pick. We post only what you schedule. We never write or post anything on our own.
  • If you schedule many posts at once, for example with Plan today, you’re responsible for each of them as if you had scheduled it on its own. Check them before their time comes.
  • Posts go out publicly. On YouTube we mark them as not made for kids, so don’t use auto-posting for content made for children.
  • The platforms decide what they allow. They may refuse a post, limit who sees it, remove it, label it, or restrict or ban an account, for example for automation, AI content, spam or copyright. We don’t control that and we’re not responsible for it, or for a post that fails, goes out late or goes out wrong because of a platform or Post for Me. If a post fails, the app tells you and you can try again.
  • Views and other numbers come from the platforms through Post for Me. They can be late, incomplete or different from what the platform’s own app shows.
  • You can unlink an account in the app at any time, and you can also remove access in the platform’s own settings. Unlinking stops future posts. Posts already published stay up until you delete them on the platform.
  • The platforms’ own terms apply to what you post there. By linking a YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (opens in a new tab).

12.No promise of results

Off Camera helps you make and post content. It doesn’t promise views, followers, likes, sales, revenue or any other result. What happens after you post depends on the platforms, your audience, your product and luck. The examples and numbers we show are examples, not predictions.

13.Other companies’ services

Off Camera works with other companies: Stripe for payments, Google for sign-in, Post for Me for posting, AI providers for writing and media, and the platforms you post to. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We’re not responsible for their services. If one of them changes or stops working with us, a feature may change or stop too.

14.Sounds you add

You can put your own sound under a post: a voiceover, music you made, or a sound you have a license for.

  • Only add a sound you own or have permission to use. Most songs, including the ones you hear on TikTok, Spotify or YouTube, belong to artists and record labels, and aren’t yours to use in your posts.
  • Before your first one, you tick “I have the right to use this sound in my posts.” We keep a record of who ticked it and when. You’re responsible for the sounds you add and for the posts you share with them (see section 20).
  • Your sounds stay in your brand. Other brands can’t see or use them. We store them, set their loudness and length to fit your posts, and put them in the posts you export.
  • If we get a valid complaint about a sound, we may delete it, take it out of every post that uses it, and delete the exports it was in. We can’t remove posts already on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. That’s up to you and the platforms.
  • We close the accounts of people who add sounds that aren’t theirs again and again.
  • To report a sound, use our report form. To send a copyright notice, email team@offcamera.co with the subject “Copyright notice” and the details in section 15.

DMCA agent: we’re registering one with the US Copyright Office and will name them here. Until then, send notices to team@offcamera.co.

16.Suspension and closing accounts

You can stop using Off Camera at any time, and delete your account in Settings, under Account. Deleting it cancels a paid plan at once, without a refund for the rest of the month or year (see section 4).

We may suspend or close your account, or remove content, if:

  • you break these terms or the law, or we reasonably believe you did;
  • your use puts other people, the platforms, our providers or Off Camera at risk;
  • you don’t pay what you owe;
  • the law or one of our providers requires it.

Where we reasonably can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix things. We may also close accounts that go unused for a long time, after warning you by email.

If we close your account because you broke these terms, we don’t refund what you paid. If we close it for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the time you paid for and any credits you bought but didn’t use. If we ever shut Off Camera down, we will email you at least 30 days before, so you can download your posts.

After your account closes, your data is deleted as our Privacy Policy describes. The parts of these terms that are meant to last, such as ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability, your promise to cover us and disputes, keep applying.

17.Changes to Off Camera

Off Camera changes often. We may add, change or remove features, formats, AI models, libraries and limits. If a change takes away something important that you’re paying for, you can cancel, and we refund the unused part of your current month or year.

18.Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Off Camera running and your work safe. Still, to the fullest extent the law allows:

  • Off Camera is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
  • We don’t promise that Off Camera will always be available, free of errors or secure; that AI output will be accurate, original or right for your purpose; or that posts will publish, stay up or reach anyone.
  • Keep your own copies of anything important. Download the posts you export.

Some places don’t allow some of these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.

19.Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • Off Camera, its owners, staff and suppliers aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, followers or goodwill, even if we were told they might happen.
  • Our total liability for all claims about Off Camera or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim, or US$100, whichever is more.
  • These limits apply to every kind of claim, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or anything else.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury we cause, or the rights you have as a consumer under laws that can’t be waived.

20.Your promise to cover us

To the extent the law allows, if someone makes a claim against Off Camera, its owners or staff because of your content, your posts and the claims they make, the accounts you link, your use of Off Camera, or your breaking these terms, the law or someone else’s rights, you will defend us and pay the damages, costs and reasonable legal fees that come from it.

We will tell you about the claim, let you lead the defense (we may join with our own lawyer, at our cost) and not settle it in a way that binds you without your agreement. You won’t settle it in a way that admits fault for us or binds us without ours.

21.Governing law and disputes

Talk to us first

Most problems are fixed fastest by email. Before you start a legal claim, email team@offcamera.co with your name, your account email, what happened and what you’d like us to do. We’ll try to sort it out within 30 days. We’ll do the same for you before we make a claim against you.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Off Camera’s operator is established, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts where those laws give you that right.

Small claims

Either of us may bring an individual claim in a small claims court that has jurisdiction.

22.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Off Camera and the law change. When we do, we post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change matters for you, such as a change to billing, your rights or how disputes work, we email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Price changes follow the notice rule in section 3. Changes needed for legal reasons, or that only add new features, can take effect straight away.

A change never applies to a dispute that started before it. If you don’t agree to a change, stop using Off Camera and cancel before it takes effect. If you’re on a paid plan and cancel for that reason, tell us and we refund the unused part of your current month or year. If you keep using Off Camera after the change takes effect, the new terms apply to you.

23.The legal bits

  • These terms, our Privacy Policy and what you agree to at checkout are the whole agreement between you and us about Off Camera.
  • If you join Refer & Earn, the Affiliate Terms apply to it too.
  • If a court finds part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
  • You can’t transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our written agreement. We may transfer them if Off Camera is sold, merged or reorganized, and we’ll tell you if that happens.
  • We’re not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as outages at our providers, platform changes, internet failures or natural disasters.
  • We may send you notices by email or in the app. You agree that these meet any legal need for notices in writing.
  • These terms don’t make us partners, employer and employee, or agents of each other.

24.Contact

Questions about these terms, billing, cancelling or copyright: email team@offcamera.co. We read every email. For how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
